Rhonda has a passion for serving and shepherding others. She also is committed to praying for others and especially for missionaries. She considers it a privilege to be a part of AHP and its work.
Karen Smith
Karen has a deep heart for missions and the Gospel on many levels. She and her family have enjoyed serving with teams on short term missions trips sharing the gospel via Vacation Bible Schools and construction projects domestically in Maine, Mississippi, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia and internationally in Australia, Guatemala, and Haiti.
For over 10 years Karen served on the board of Faith and Concern, Inc. a non-profit organization whose mission is to improve the lives of the poorest of the poor in Haiti by providing educational opportunities for children they would otherwise never possess.
Karen and her family are active in local missions through their church reaching out to those in need of the love of God around them. They open their home to missionaries and other guests on both a short and long term basis whenever God opens the doors for them to do so.
It is with a heart of great joy and anticipation that Karen looks forward to what God is doing through Asia Highland Partners!
Marty and Elaine Mattocks
Marty and Elaine Mattocks have been involved in short-term missions throughout their lives, in Central America, Africa, and most recently through Youth with a Mission in Central Asia. They are retired (Marty as an IT project manager, and Elaine as an emergency room nurse), but even during their busy family and work lives they were involved in both local and foreign missions, local churches, street ministry to the lost, and workplace Bible studies. Marty has taught project management on-line at several universities and has a keen interest in business as mission (BAM), especially as it can be utilized with unreached people groups. Elaine has traveled in prophetic ministry and teaching, and delights in seeing others have an “AHA” moment of intimacy with God that produces lasting transformation. They are ordained ministers (through Antioch International Ministries) and are currently involved in Disciple Making Movement training and outreach. They are also involved in local and regional prayer and revival. They have seven children and two grandchildren. They live in Dover, Delaware.
